“I solemnly swear that if I pass my first year examz I’ll b regular with my studies from day 1 in the second year n will top my class !”



Finally that dreaded, nerve racking, nail biting , stressing time off the year is here … whn tempers run high, patience runs low, tension and anxiety go through the roof …. yes its the time which wreaks havoc in all our lives .... Its RESULT TIME!!!



This cycle of results is ‘a circle of evil’ which never ends! After we get a blow from the current year’s results we promise to ourselves “ no more masti …. Time to get on track n study hard!” so we start attending classes with renewed vigour, taking notes feverishly, doing assignments … basically being a good student … this phase lasts for about a month or 2. At this point we feel overworked n decide to take a break from this monotony .



After this comes independence day n we decide to start studying again after that. That passes n then comes rakhi … hmmm … will definitely study after rakhi … this too passes … finally out of guilt n for the sake of attendance we decide to attend a few classes. Then comes a season of weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. and I promise myself to start studying by the end of this month.



Then comes October … diwali …. Will definitely start after diwali … lets just enjoy the festival … eat, drink, be merry then will surely study! Diwali also passes n comes the season for college fests … wow! So many fests … definitely have to go for all the fests … amazing food … bands playing …inter college competitions…. will start to study after this!



Slowly the chill creeps in n lo behold ! we reached December ! Christmas time:santa: .. lotsa gifts n partying … will study after new year when im finaly done with partying. New year resolution is to slog! Slog! Slog! Before we realize it, internal examinations start … we try to do some last minute cramming n try to reassure ourselves “these are jus internals … m gonna rock the externals(hopefully)”



Internals finnaly finish n we heave a sigh of relief .. “gonna relax for a few days… brain is addled with all the last minute cramming .. will give my mind some rest” n so we reach February and start panicking:affraid: … examz start in April n so February goes in assembling notes, covering attendance and finishing off course.



By march the usual train of thought is “I jus wanna pass … I promise I’ll do better next year:oops: !!”



Well I guess it happens to the best of us(n am one of d worst)!
