agreed....i saw the best example of that today! 2:30 in the afternoon...scorching summer heat...no DTC's(busy picking up school students)....250 bluelines off the road( thanks to sheila dixit)...fully occupied Auto's.....stranded at Barakhamba Road for 40 minutes....people were literally begging the 'carwalklahs' to carry them atleast till the next bus stop....but no...no one was ready to pay heed...i agree to their apprehensions, teh city isn't safe anymore! but...a little cooperation would just have made life easier for the stranded people!!!

| she said that 'i rather walk than take a blueline!!'....will she?? infat, can she!! all she can do is give out absurd comments to the media.....and if she is soo averse to bluelines, where was her aversion when about 4500 licences were permitted.... @ankit....i know we have a problem when ppl don't put off the cigarette, but you can complaint to the conductor...or just pull off the cigarette from his mouth...i know this is too much am askin for, but it's worth it if one gives it a shot..after all he is using a public transport...if all the others are having a problem with him smokin, he shouldn ot smoke, and if he still continues...mind you he is one...and there are 20 more to back u in the bus! | |

| sir, for your knowledge, i travel by a bus everyday to college. And since i don't have the time and patience to wait for the DTC, bluelines are my saviour. An i can tell you one thing for a fact, everyone on the bus will back you if you are doing the right thing...just because they are scared to ask for the ladies seat or to make sumone put off his cigarette (probably because they are women or teh elderly and hence fear the 'healthy' men..), i don't think you (as a youngster) should back off....
and yea..i don't need a conductor to get me a ladies seat...i know how to get one...it's been two years of these bus rides!!

| well first things first...hate the concept of ladies seat and i dont really think the commonwealth games should featur anywhere in the blunders list...theyl help delhi develop at a rocket pace, trust me...when u have a targert in sight, all your activites get much more focusd and faster... second thing...i think its about time we get rid of the blueline buses...well, its just the initial problems that we are facing...which will surely get bak to normal in sometime (well, dont you remember the protests and all faced durin the introduction of CNG n CAS, well it all does work out fine)...i personally do think shiela dixits government is quite a decent one...much better than the alternatives for sure.... | |

| thank you nandini....it's better to sit in a blueline than wait at a dingy bus stop for a DTC bus... @sahil...i think solutions should have come up with first, and then bluelines attacked. Ultimately, it is we as commuters who are paying the price. I am sure you must have read today's newspaper and realised the amount of problems faced by delhi commuters everyday. I know it is for our benefit only, but i still think before bluelines were taken off the road, an alternative should have been arranged!! | |
