VOICES
I lie awake ,
on a long dark night,
sleep seems to be deserting me,
I don't really know why.
I don' seem to be at peace with myself,
"Do this, Do that!"
these voices echoing through my head,
the more i think ,the harder it gets.
Am i here to play,
am i here to party
the images of poverty and disease flash right in front of me,
serving a reminder of harsh reality.
Can i do anything to correct this situation??
Not really,
i'm just one of them,
The politicians,the rich men, the "society";
that are filling their coffers and destroying nations.
But then someone reminds me of who i am,
remids me that i'm a fighter and must stick to the plan,
but this fight aint just a fight ,
it is a glimmering hope for those who haven't seen light in their lives.
So as i set foot on this journey,
i turn back to see,
thousands of youngsters just like me,
all calling out in one voice:
"YOUTH FOR EQUALITY"
And now we begin our onward march,
beware everyone,
we will catch you off your guard
Politicians,bureaucrats and the rest,
"POLICY MAKERS " i forgot to mention,
we will put you to the test.
Now the army moves on,
engulfing everything in its path like a storm,
we know that this is just the beginning,
there is a long way to go
but we are here to stay,
to remove pain and suffering.
So again i say
pay heed to this warning,
WE ARE ONE
WE ARE STRONG
WE ARE COMING AFTER YOU
WE ARE YOUTH FOR EQUALITY!!
