i absolutely agree with wat u said somya but there are things that aren't in your hands...i mean addictions that don't really harm u in the negative sense .....are they bad???

okay...its very true that there "are" things that u just cant
control...but still...dont you think that even if they aren't in ur
hands but practiced in excess, have a negative effect on you?....I
totally believe in the statement - Excess of everything is bad!...and
again I would like to repeat - if we go by the definition of
addiction...its bad!

ps: Bad is a relative word...so the level varies...an addiction may cause immediate harm...but the other one wont...

and ya...i'd appreciate if u elaborate with an example: "there are things which aren't in ur hands".... Smile

well it depends....like getting addicted to ur goals,studies n good things always counts good as compared to getting addicted to drugs,cgrts n all .....
in my case im addicted to campus 18 n orkut...so its like orkutting is nting just a wastage of time...its all bout increasing ur frnd list n chatting wid dem for hours n hours...on d other hand camp18....a place where ur talent is recognised, wher u get to read sum good stuff, post ur comments....bla bla bla....i guess i need nt tell ya guys bout it...u all know it qiute well...

hmm...in my point of view...(as i have been saying all along)... its
BEING ADDICTED that is bad!... and then naturally "whatever u are
addicted to makes addiction bad".... yepp...u give the example of
C18...a good addiction u call it! (I cant deny that I am also totally
addicted to it!!)... but if u look at it with an unbiased perspective,
u'l definitely see that even being "addicted" to C18 is bad....

heyy...u talk about studies...that being addicted to studies is
good!...look being addicted means - having an "ABNORMALLY STRONG
CRAVING" for something... so a feeling like that for studies would mean
that a person is a NERD! and that too is bad...after all co-curricular
activities, sports etc too are essential parts in building ones
personality!!! so I still support my point fervently...that "excess os
everything is BAD...and hence addictions aren't good!" phew!

im addicted to books in carribean style lays...i need atleast 2 books with me..in case i finish one early i need another in bush..

i dont believe that addiction can be bad..sometime addiction helps too...like i have the addiction to read a book while travelling and i dont think that it is bad..watsay guys??
