monsoon raga!!!

....well its raining outside...and its lovely to feel the cool raindrops while humming ur favourite tune....or maybe dance in the rain with ur ear phones on.....so which song are u playing?...has it something to do with the rain?...i remember 'rim jhim rim jhim' from 1947 love story...asweet simple melody...or the english classic....' rain in spain falls mainly in the plains'-my fair lady

share ur favourite monsoon raga wth us....and go ahead get drenched wth ur friends....a lil cold will do no harm....'anchooo!' seems pretty musical to me!!!

though when it comes to rain...the following song from Forrest Gump remains my favourite

what better than the monsoon ragas thm selves man!!!!!malhar desh ..which ever of the lot you take.... no one can beat them!......besides does anyone know any other system of music tht has a scale based on rain!

rains...monsoon...drip drop...aahh...the best time to sit with yourself with a cuppa of coffee, thinking about any damn thing in this world...in a world of your own...watching those drops sticking onto that green leaf...the mesmerising sound of raindrops falling...sends me itno this completely different world..nuthin beats this feeling..and especially the earthy smell of "geeli mitti" that surrounds you...i feel close to myself...

and as far as my monsoon raga goes, forrest gump tops my list too!!

but there's this ghazal (a very melodious one) by Bhupinder singh and Chitra in their album 'Sunset Point' which is a delight to hear. It's lyrics are by the maestro himself 'Gulzar Saab' (i simply love his work)...the song goes something like this...and is beautiful!!
