SACRIFICE

i have waited in the shadows too long to be

for my true love to be one with me

and as the moon lit starry night shines

i feel the troubles in my mind

for i have bared and carried my sorrows far too long

and now i wish to god for them to be gone

just then in the corner of my heart

i feel someone whom i shouldn't have cut apart

for this life was meant to be his

but i was to selfish to part with the bliss

and now i have come to realize

that he wasn't the devil in disguise

it was me all the while

lying and stealing precious moments of his life

for to be with me was all he wanted

but i was too scared and haunted

to this day i apologise

but these very shadows ask me to

SACRIFICE!!!!

one thing which i really like about this poem is it conveys a hidden idea... in which i solely believe... i dunno how u did it SERIOUS gal.. but u stole away ma thought.. hehe... Both devil n god live inside us ... n wen one takes over another then the demonic or god like qualities are seen... bingo.. way to go gurl!! So wat should i sacrifice ehh?? hehe
