There are many thankless jobs in this world but none like that of an housewife. A housewife slogs day in and day out to keep her house in order and nobody seems to notice it at the end of the day. Everyone makes sure, however, to point out her mistakes to her. Every little bit of dirt in any god forsaken corner is picked up by someone or other's hawk eyes and as soon as it is mentioned the housewife feels rotten about her whole day's work. Wouldn't it be more considerate that every single person realises his responsibility towards keeping the house clean and picks up the broom once in awhile to do the dirty job himself instead of just blaming?
Of course the house maid comes in to help but with kids in the house how far is it possible for the housewife to keep the place spic and span?Anyone who manages to do it needs some sort of medal and lots of appreciation but there is no such thing to look forward to in this job. Yes, you can say that it shouldn't be looked upon as a job but a job is a job is a job. She doesn't do it because it is her hobby, she does it becaiuse it is her duty and naturally she doesn't derive much pleasure from it given the fact that it is the same old routine everyday.
To break routine she may gossip in the neighbourhood and even that is considered immoral and a waste of time. So what does she do to earn respect? She blogs! In blogging, she puts forward her views with little reservations and the comments she garners gives her the much needed appreciation that she hungers for otherwise So thanks to these blogs and all those comment givers, many a educated housewife does have a blast at the end of the day.So does blogging substitute for gossiping then how come so many men are into it ?
So is blogging glorified gossiping? What is the difference? Perhaps the subtle difference lies in the fact that while gossiping we are only using our conscious mind to "talk" whereas in blogging we employ our subconscious mind to "write". Therefore the former activity results in addition of junk thoughts to the subconscious whereas the latter results in clearing clutter from the subconscious, the latter being therefore an useful activity. So I guess, housewife or no housewife, everyone has the liberty of blogging and sweeping their subconscious off some clutter.
