Hello ppl...

The Mini-Disaster at Delhi....that is the "heavy-rains" that disrupted
the fast paced city life in delhi was one hellof an eye-opener for me...

After starting from home about One hour earlier for college ( reaching
it usually takes about 15 mins from my place), Struggling my way out
through the streets of my colony in knee-deep water, waiting for
another frustrating 1/2 hr or so for a rickshaw...and finally reaching
the metro station only to suffer more humiliation at the site of the
jam packed metro! (i had no other option but to fight my way
through...as i was gettin really late fr college for the first time!),
finally reaching the kashemere gate station after being utterly
suffocated and exhausted, consoling myself through another rather long
walk (which usually took just 2 mins) in the knee-deep water-filled
street leading to my final destination.... (little did i know that i
would still be late for college!)
huh!...
all this shocked me to no extent! thats when i actually realized the need for action!

This is just the strating of the monsoons and what a sad condition the whole of delhi is in....

A question bugs my mind like a bee....What all can "WE" as budding
resposible citizens do to prevent situations like these....rather than
playing the Blame Game....

Isn't it time for us to actually differentiate between being "educated" or just "literates"???

Or do we prefer to believe in "Ignorance is bliss" and go on with our
lives, switch to the luxuries available, be oblivious to what all is
going around us....and in the and call ourselves "Dutiful and
responsibl citizens!" ?

I kno it'l sound boring to many....but.....................

whooooaaaaa!

good!

not that i expected some replies....

but i really dint kno that we people are sooo indifferent to situtions like these....

<or i wonder if i should hav put this issue in a more "interesting" way so as to gather some attention!>!!!!

well, this is a big issue...only because delhi has not faced any "major disaster" till now...we might be indifferent...

shehh!
