students going for drugs

A recent study by Dr David Deitch, an addiction specialist has revealed that the average age at which children start using drugs has dropped every decade since the 1960's. The study also states that today's youngsters start experimenting with drugs at the age of 12. This study also highlights the growing population of school going kids doing drugs.
The adolescent years are the formative years of ones life which are often marked by confusion and stress. Youngsters who are unable to deal with it succumb to drugs and other such hazardious alternatives. While some do it out of curiosity others do it because of peer pressure.....would love to have ur views:o

"High" is the word my friend.....all they wanna do, is to get high...be it dope or fag or booze...but why r people only talking about drugs??.....why doesnt nebody talk bout youngsters boozing and fagging at the age of 13 or 14??....

yea v should talk about all that makes em high...be it drugs or fag or nething else....its all the same...an easy escape route...mainly from troubles u are too cowardly to handle

Teenagers, in the present day dog-eat-dog world, are bound to be faced with big and small troubles. Cloaking their minds from these situations by means of drugs, booze and likewise might seem to them as an easy way out, however shortlived that may be. Another reason for this growing addiction may be that today's teenagers tend to formulate in their minds that they are more mature than they really are when it comes to thinking about their own right and wrong. Call it westernization or whatever, these smart-alecks (pardon the slang) dont see that their tender, easily-affected minds need proper guidance from time to time. Their attitude that their judgement is the best and most appropriate may land them into trouble, seeing that such "self-judgement" is usually an offshoot of peer pressure and similar influences, and not their own rational thinking....

hey akshit...U r right in saying that today’s teenagers get pulled into such things due to a certain lack of awareness about their own vulnerability…due to their delusioned mentalities…due to peer pressure…but in case of maturer teenagers…. its more about experiencing thrills….trying new n exciting stuff…despite being aware of the repercussions…beginning with a few harmless kicks…getting pulled into darkness…slowly…being aware of the forthcoming disaster…yet not being able to help it…till u reach a stage….when u cant get out of it…

n marijuana d most common drug which is actually good for ppl suffering from ADD,border line personality disorder n OCD...
a recent research depicts that children suffering from ADD shud smoke a pot in the morning..
it stabilises the mind!!

sum do it outta curiosity....r 2 forget dere troubles ....sum do it for fun....sum do it coz itz jus sumthin to do......!!

i feel if u hav huge amts f self control....b it any age ....n dun get addictd to it....itz absolutely fine to dope......absolutely no issues ....

The most important reason why teens get into drugs is peer pressure......most people start smoking just 'cause their frnds r doing so.....it starts with a fag and leads to more potent drugs.

And another important factor is the urge to b cool.....it is an inherent misconception that smoking or taking drugs is hip and happening........

i think the guy...RISHABH is correct....many of my frns just fag coz they say its cool...n that too when they knows its harmful n injurious....peer pressure is also one of the most importnt factor....sum also do it just to try....

doping is the most disgusting thing u can do...it juz another form to show that u have given up on ur life n u need something to hold on to..its like a support system for u..but yeh it leaves u all alone..u shatter ur dreamzz nof ur fam..

the severity (harm) depends on wat drugs u r on...
some drugs r really good!
FYI even the medicines we take r Drugs!! n they also effect us in some way... everything we do in this world has some or the odr side effects in our direction itself(modification of newtons 3rd law!)
