Books or Teachers....Whats it gonna be?

I don't think anyone will say they don't play an important role even if it's college.....unfortunately there aren't too many decent ones around these days

True....I face the same problem too...especially in the dialect...we have ppl who go....angrezi ko english mein angrezi hi boltein hai na???

mo matter hat yaar....one cannot manage without teachers ....no matter how bad they are.......teachers are necessary

Well i thk yhe only way our teachers help us is to get us to SLEEP... Apart fm that they hardly help us really understand much...

umm..obviously books...and notes of seniors.....so obvious...who listens to teachers...we just want the attendance .. lolz

seriously though, i think books are more important cause in college its more of independent study and teachers can only explain in brief the concept in classes.

I guess the position is pretty much the same everywhere..
Not even 1 chap is technically trained to become a teacher.. Am doing my engineering and all my lecturers are previous yr passouts from various engineering colleges in chennai.. what do you expect from them???

i really dint know if teachers do mak a diffrence... coz d only thing i do wen im in a lecture is sleepin or listenin 2 songs.. e1 if i attend lectures i cant recall wat the teachers said wen im studin durin xams... since im a engn student i hv my submissns n all.. so my bet is attend d lectures siting in last benches n do ur own work... atttendance bhi lag jayega.. watsay..

choosin between books and teachers is like choosin between umm...lemme see.....choosin between a vacation in Hawaii and the city dump.....I dont really think being a fresher is a good excuse for being a bad teacher, I can deliver better lectures than all my proffessors...i aint fibbin'..its a knack that a few have and the rest just think they do....hehehe..

Wat help can d teachers be to us if they themselves took up this profession coz they were good-for-nothing... Luckily(or unluckily) we did manage to peek into our college's "TOP SECRET FILE" which had the qualifications and salary's of every teacher in our coll...
And since then we know wat to expect of our teachers...

3. who makes the other students answer ur doubts when they dont know it themselves (more is a v gud eg.)
4. who speak a dialect known only to martians till now
5. who help u get ur daily dose of laughter by letting u take their case......

well i think teachers are most important as widout dem studying is not [possible atleast for me............though books also play an important role but teachers are n will b d most imp

we can forget d written word but we can never forget then spoken word of the teacher?

nwadays i feel dat teachers do mke sme difference.... first i never gav them a chance..bt nwadays i m gettin sme gud xperiences... nwadays i hv strtd concentratin in classes n i m gettin up most of d stuff taught there......

without the teachers a cllg doesn't seem to luk like one.....
bt evry1 (evry student), atleast most f us feel tat we can do it on our own....nd its the truth tat we do the max part f syllabus ourselves...
the teachers are merely there to give us some pressure to come up with good scores nd tat too is an important role f teachers....nd i think for tat very thing we need the teachers to feel the burden, the pressure nd atleast put our butts into chairs for hours before the xam to pass

of course teachers are important...teachers are not just for 'teaching'...wt about the values they teach us....of course very few ppl care abt em these days...unfortunately i have cum across teachers who dont deserve to be called so...they are 'Commercial Teachers'....for sum even books are of no importance yaaaar...its the xerox notes tht matter...i have becum one of them...and am regretting it...

as d topic is Teachers...i wud like to bring to ur notice dat...der r different levels of teachers as v all noe...
Primary > secondary > college... i noe am sharing stuff wch all noe and is boring...but point f concern is their pay...
the heirarchy of their pay pack is frm school level to college then to university level...school teachers fetch around 8-10k...college 15-20k and unversity above 25k...
but my point is how many of us attend colleges and universities lectures...few...so our revenues gettin wasted
students are now smart enuff to study on thier own(and dis is wat actually happens...no lectures only exams...tru isnt it)
whereas school level teachers are the crucial part in makin o breakin a child's life...coz the students are in their formative stage wch is they are mouldable...but few teachers i ve seen wch take dis advantage due to lack of motivation in school and dat motivation is Moolah!!.. [/size]
